Holly Willoughby splashes out on £19k air ticket dubbed ‘penthouse in sky’

Holly Willoughby splashed out £19,000 on one of the most expensive flights in the world to celebrate her success as a co-host of I’m a Celebrity.

The presenter paid for a one-way ticket on Etihad’s ‘penthouse in the sky’ where she is served by her own butler and has a chef prepare her meals on the 25-hour flight home from Australia.

She also has the luxury of her own bathroom and shower as well as a separate living room to relax in during the long flight back to London.

Holly’s three children and her parents are flying home in first class but the family will be allowed to join her in the three room suite for the duration of the flight. Her husband Dan Baldwin flew home a few days ago.

A show insider said Holly decided to treat herself to the ultimate in luxury as a reward for her time in the jungle.

‘This was Holly’s present to herself. She is thrilled that the show has been such a success and she’s had such great fun with Dec. She has loved presenting the show,’ they said.

The 37-year-old paid for the super luxury flight in a class of travel simply known as ‘The Residence’ on Etihad Airways rather than have ITV foot the bill.

Holly had chosen to fly a 13-strong entourage to Australia for I’m a Celeb including her stylist, beautician, her agent and her family, which is said to have cost ITV bosses ‘a fortune’.

As well as flights to Australia for Holly and her team, the family stayed in the £1770-a-night Palazzo Versace Hotel.

But instead of flying straight home, the This Morning host flew to Sydney to take part in a photo shoot for Marks & Spencer as part of her deal to promote her own range of clothes.
