Holly Willoughby walked away from her big sister Kelly when abandoning her lifestyle brand Truly

She is the golden girl of television with her beaming smile and huge heart.

Yet Holly Willoughby shouldn’t be underestimated as the mother-of-three is thought to be worth a whopping £10million – even after walking out on her much anticipated lifestyle brand, Truly, which was set to make a ‘fortune’.

A savvy businesswoman, Holly isn’t afraid of making tough decisions and shocked her business partners – which reportedly included her big sister Kelly – when she announced last week that she would be taking a step back from Truly.

Just weeks ahead of the company’s launch, the presenter, 37, wrote on Instagram that she would be leaving the brand following fears that it would take too much time away from her family.

Yet The Sun reported that in leaving Truly, Holly also walked away from her sibling Kelly who is a fellow founding director of the firm and who the model has previously described herself as being ‘incredibly close to’.

A source close to Holly told the publication that the hard work had already been done with the preparations for the launch in full swing.

They added: ‘Family is incredibly important to her and of course she wants to spend more time with them, but she’s just signed for I’m A Celeb, which will be one of the busiest months of her life, so that doesn’t quite add up.

‘It would have made a fortune, it could have been her retirement fund. It’s all very strange.

‘Everyone was stunned when she dropped Truly, even some of her closest confidantes. It was a massive shock and really doesn’t make any sense at all.’

Having worked on the project for two years Holly was reportedly set to double her fortune through her involvement, and is still listed as a CEO at Companies House.

The shrewd businesswoman apparently also ensured that she had to be in attendance for any board meetings to occur.

Striking deals worth millions, it’s no secret that Holly has a packed schedule, loaning her name to Diet Coke last year in a six-figure deal, becoming the face of Oral B for £80,000 and recently adding ambassador for Marks and Spencer to her impressive repertoire.

The presenter reportedly earns £600,000 a year for hosting This Morning and another £150,000 per series of Celebrity Juice.

And now Holly’s fortune is set to rise even further as she joins I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here later this year.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reportedly raked in £2.5 million each when hosting the previous season.

Holly is known for putting family first in her life, revealing that she will take her children out of school to join her in Australia when filming for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! starts November.

The show traditionally runs for three weeks — meaning that her offspring could be missing up to a month of school.

The ITV host shares three children Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four, with husband Dan Baldwin.

Meanwhile, speaking about her decision to leave Truly – which has been compared to Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP – on GMB, she revealed: ‘It was a really difficult decision but for me that work/life balance is the hardest thing I have to juggle.

‘I am a working mum and it’s a decision that had to be taken. I didn’t know this would be happening. It’s family first,’ she confidently stated.

In an Instagram post the presenter wrote: ‘After much consideration, I have made the decision to step away from Truly.

‘To launch a brand needs total dedication and at the moment, with so many other commitments, this is not something I feel I can do without it starting to affect my family time at home. I wish Truly all the success for the future.’

It is not known whether Kelly was informed prior to Holly’s public statement regarding her decision to leave the brand.

The MailOnline have contacted Holly’s reps for comment.
