‘And I am not very good at having a game face either, you will see me starstruck and unable to speak in coherent sentences,’ she continued.

Sophie said it was an honour to just get nominated after playing the character of Ziggy Astoni in Summer Bay since June, 2017.

‘They are some of the biggest names in Australian television,’ Sophie said of the other actresses nominated in the category.

‘I never even thought I’d be able to meet these women in my life, let alone have my name alongside them so it is truly the nomination that is the big thing,’ she said.

Sophie is nominated against Deborah Mailman for Total Control, and comedian Kitty Flanagain in Fisk.

‘They are such role models and such inspirations for me that it is like being a little kid and meeting your heroes,’ Sophie added.
