Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt will be laid to rest on Monday at the same church her parents and younger sister were farewelled only a week ago.

The 29-year-old died on Wednesday from injuries she sustained in the horror car crash that took the lives of her parents, Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60, and her sister Annabelle, 21.

The devastation caused by the crash was made very clear in the actress’ funeral notice, which addressed her father, mother and sister as deceased, before noting her Uncle Paul Ponticello would be the closest family member alive to mourn her.

Jessica, who spent three weeks in a coma in St George Hospital, was taken off life support just one day after a joint funeral held for her parents and sister.

Devastated family members told Daily Mail Australia after Jessica’s death that while it was a sad time, they were at peace knowing the actress is now ‘back with her family’.

‘We’re all sad but she is with her family now. Her mum was her biggest supporter so I am sure she is in her arms,’ the relative said.

‘It’s an odd feeling, we always knew it was going to happen but no matter what it’s a shock.’

At the funeral for Lars, Vivian and Annabelle, Mr Ponticello told mourners that Christmas would be a time that forever haunts their family.

‘It is a day that will be difficult to erase from our memory,’ he said.

‘Their lives on this earth ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense.’

Craig Whitall, who was at the wheel of the 4WD that collided with their vehicle in the head-on crash, was also killed in the inferno.

The 50-year-old serial traffic offender Craig Whitall was reportedly on his way home from a Nowra methadone clinic when the crash occurred.
