A home cook has shared her results after trying a new slow-cooked pulled pork nachos recipe for the first time.

Impressed with the outcome, the woman shared three images to an Australian slow cooker Facebook group where she found the simple recipe. 

‘Another group member posted [the recipe] a few weeks ago. Thank you! My partner loved this,’ she said, attaching three images of the delicious pork nachos topped with guacamole, sour cream and chives.

To make the nachos the mother rubbed a Mexican seasoning mix all over the meat and poured a jar of Old El Paso thick and chunky salsa over the top.

She than placed the meat in her slow cooker and cooked on low for eight hours to allow the meat to tenderise.

Prior to assembling the nachos, she pulled the pork apart with a fork and served with dollops of guacamole and sour cream with chives on top.

How to make pulled pork nachos in a slow cooker

Ingredients: 

1kg pork shoulder (without outer rind and fat)

Mexican seasoning mix

Old El Paso thick and chunky salsa

Mission Original tortilla strips

Shredded cheese 

Sour cream 

Guacamole

Method:

Rub seasoning mix all over pork 

Pour entire jar of salsa over pork and place in slow cooker

Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours

Pull apart meat with forks

Assemble nachos to your liking with guacamole, sour cream, cheese and chives on top
