A home cook has dished out a delicious yet simple spaghetti and garlic bread ‘basket’ after cooking all the ingredients in a slow cooker.

Taking to Slow Cooker Recipe & Tips, the Australian woman made her family-favourite pasta meal without having to spend hours in the kitchen.

During the cooking process, she lined the garlic bread with the butter side facing around the edges of the pot so every piece is crispy by the time it’s ready to serve.

‘Well dinner is on … one of our favorite dinners spaghetti and garlic basket – yummy,’ she said.

To make the dish, simply dice up a large onion. Heat oil in a large pan, add the chopped onion and one kilo of beef mince – and then cook until brown.

Next, drain the oil and then stir a jar of sun-dried tomato pasta bake sauce and two tablespoons of tomato paste through the mince.

Spray around the edges of the pot with oil, and then place the garlic bread in.

‘Cut up a loaf of garlic bread into pieces and place butter side down inside the slow cooker like a crown,’ she said.

‘Add some shredded cheese then place meat filling inside. Cover with more cheese and place on low for four hours.’ 

The woman said she also placed a tea towel under the lid to stop the garlic bread from going ‘soggy’ during the slow cook.

She shared a series of photographs showing her easy step-by-step pasta recipe, promoting hundreds of people to comment.

Her method was quickly flooded with praise and described by many as a great hassle-free option for anyone who’s time poor.
