Home Work hosts Candis and Andy Meredith flaunt their house amid allegations they ruined others’

Home Work hosts Candis and Andy Meredith proudly flaunted their own luxurious house amid allegations that they ruined other homeowners’ properties and scammed them out of thousands of dollars.

The couple recently came under fire after four women who appeared on their new house flip show claimed that the pair ripped them off, forced them to live in unsafe environments, failed to communicate with them, and left many of the promised renovations unfinished.

Weeks before the accusations rolled in, the couple took to Instagram to show off the renovations that they made to their own sprawling home – which was previously a 19th century school.

The Merediths – who have seven kids – purchased the abandoned, 115-year-old schoolhouse in Utah years ago, and decided to turn the 20,000-square-foot building into their dream home while filming the entire process as part of the show, which was part of Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Network.

They did not reveal how much the property was purchased for, however real estate website Movoto estimates that it is worth approximately $1,545,075.

However, just one day before it went on the air, numerous homeowners who had taken part it in came forward and made a slew of allegations against the Merediths, resulting in it getting canceled two days later

They transformed the former learning place into a stunning mansion – complete with the most up-to-date appliances, a 13-foot island in the kitchen, a 7-foot chandelier in the dining area, and so much more.

‘It’s more than exciting for us to share the whole journey of this school building that has become our home,’ they gushed on Instagram while promoting the show.

‘It started its life as an incredible 1800’s red school building and was used piece by piece to build this 1907 beauty.

‘It was a school until the 1950’s and then a family home and business. We bought it several years ago with a dream in mind for our seven kids.’

The couple restored all of the original floors in the building, explaining in another post, ‘We have two types of floors in our school – the sub floor original then the 1930’s third grade maple in most of the rooms. It sanded and stained up so beautifully.’

‘This kitchen has made a big transformation from a 1907 classroom to a commercial space to our home. We can all sit for dinner now,’ the pair wrote on Instagram while showing off some before and after photos of the space.

They added in another post, ‘This kitchen (and the whole school) has our hearts. It has been a very long journey, but we are so glad we get to share it with all of you on the show. We hope you enjoy it and thank you for your love and support!’

‘This very special place has so much love in it,’ they captioned a photo of one of the bedrooms.

‘We have images from the school from the early 1900’s, original bead board from the 1800’s school that was used brick-by-brick to build this house, a very sentimental gift of an antique bed from our friend Kevin, original floors, original lights that we saved from all of the different rooms in the school… It just keeps going.’

According to multiple homeowners, the Merediths promised to improve their homes for the new show – which premiered on January 5, but was canceled two days later – but instead, they allegedly spent thousands of dollars more than their budget, took months to complete what they said would be a three-week project, didn’t build things correctly, put them in danger, and left many things incomplete.
