This is the moment a homeless man had a witty response to anti-vax protesters in California who were questioning why no homeless people are ‘dead in the street with Covid’.

A video shows anti-vaxxers walking down Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles at 11.22am on Saturday carrying placards protesting against the coronavirus vaccine.

During the clip, a woman is heard over a microphone, saying: ‘Do you see all of these homeless people around. Are they dead in the street with Covid? Hell no. Why?’

In reply, a homeless man, named Ray, can be heard off-camera shouting back: ‘Because I’m vaccinated, you dumb f***.’

The clip was posted on Twitter, where it has since been viewed more than three million times.

A Twitter user made an attempt to track Ray down, eventually posting a second clip of himself chatting to Ray.

Ray confirms he is from Denver, Colorado, and has been on the streets for seven years.

The person holding the camera can be heard asking if Ray was the one who spoke back to the anti-vaxxers and he says yes.

‘I think it’s time we helped Ray out,’ the man holding the camera can be heard saying.

‘Ray gave the whole country, honestly internationally, people, not just a good laugh but honestly sent a strong message.’

Twitter account FilmThePoliceLa, which posted the interaction, said it had a ‘cell phone and ID voucher lined up’ and would be setting up a GoFundMe page for Ray.
