‘Until death do us part,’ almost had a twisted meaning for a newly married couple who had an extremely close encounter with a grizzly bear while hiking in the Alaskan mountains.

Paxton Graham posted a video on June 18 showing him and his bride, Sarah Graham, just barely dodge the furry beast as it strolls on the Dumpling Mountain Trail in Katmai National Park.

‘It seems most men typically show their affection for a significant other through thoughtful acts of kindness, like buying flowers or surprise date on the town,’ the hubby said in a Facebook post sharing the video.

‘To me, the most appropriate way to show Sarah my love for her and to celebrate the beginning of our marriage was to stand between her… and a wild grizzly bear.

‘She must agree because our marriage is still intact!’

The clip shows the large bear pacing behind the couple as they make their way down the trail.

It doesn’t appear to behave in an aggressive manner as it strolls down the path.

It even darts its eyes over at the couple as it trudges along on its way.

Both Paxton and Sarah are in disbelief about what they witnessed, with both exclaiming ‘Oh My God.’

‘That was so cool,’ Sarah states in the video.

Paxton responds: ‘My knees are literally shaking.’

The clip ends with the duo laughing over the whole experience.
