This is the dramatic moment two deer stand on their hind legs to engage in a fierce no hooves barred fight.

The video, shot in Alberta, Canada, shows the two white-tailed deer throwing punches at each other in a park.

The intense hoof-to-hoof battle shows the pair both on their hind legs swinging punches at each other with their two front legs.

One deer appears to be backing away from the other as they land blows to each other’s torsos.

But all of a sudden, the deer who appeared to be winning turns around and makes a run for it.

The other deer, apparently victorious, stands still after the bruising encounter.

The unnamed person who filmed the fight said neither of the deer were injured.

White-tailed deer are native to North and South America and are often found in areas just to the east of the Rockies.

They are recognised by the characteristic white underside to their tail.

The animals have long been hunted for game and sport.
