Horrifying moment a jilted lover runs over her boyfriend after catching him with another woman

Security cameras captured the dramatic moment a woman ran over her partner after allegedly catching him with another woman. 

The CCTV footage shows the 49-year-old woman reverse out of a parking bay in Adelaide Hills before accelerating straight over the man.

After he became trapped under the car she got out of the vehicle and witnesses ran to help. 

Witnesses said the female driver was a ‘woman scorned’ who had allegedly ran her boyfriend down after discovering he was cheating on her.

The witness said prior to the incident the woman allegedly discovered her boyfriend in another woman’s car, prompting him to get out and approach his girlfriend’s car. 

It was at this moment that the CCTV footage begins.  

Natalia Palma, who was first on the scene says she got a jack out of her car to try and free the man, 9News reported. 

‘He was yelling get this car off me I can’t breathe,’ she said. 

Miss Palma also spoke to 7 News about what she allegedly heard being said. 

‘And she was mainly yelling at him and at the other lady involved, yelling,”How could you do this to me?” and “He cheated on me”,’ she said.

Emergency crews were alerted to the incident and lifted the car up to free the man trapped beneath.

He was then rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries. However, police reported the injuries are not critical.

The driver of the car was arrested at the scene and was charged with aggravated assault causing harm and driving unlicensed.

In a statement police said that the pair are known to each other and that it was a domestic incident. 

A Police Interim Intervention Order has been served to provide further protection for the victim.

‘She was just yelling at him .. it was just a really scary moment,’ Ms Palma said.

‘He is very lucky, very lucky. I’m just glad he’s okay now.’ 

The woman was bailed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 1 August.
