He is followed by another man who runs into the building and continues the assault.

The victim is heard shouting for help and saying ‘get out’ as one of the robbers tries to grab his wrist.

After a struggle, one the attackers leaves the house and is followed by the other as they run off into the darkness.

The CCTV footage suggests the victim had just got out of a taxi and it has been claimed the driver could have tipped the robbers off to a promising target.

The incident happened in the early hours of November 8 after the victim had reportedly spent the evening at an upmarket London club.

The footage was shared on Facebook on November 11 with the caption: ‘Seems as though the [cab] driver is in on it.

‘It’s the third one with [the] same setup. Others happened in Hertfordshire and Stevenage.

‘The [cab] driver collects ride from upmarket London night spot this time arts club.

‘Checks out the customer in terms of obvious signs of wealth (40k watch) and how p***** they are, then messages the gang to give them address he’s heading too.

‘When he pulled up at [victim’s], he put his hazards on which is the sign for the robbers to strike.

‘The driver had been texting loads on the journey too. Clearly the [cab] driver [is] probably part of gang and has got the job as a [cab] driver under false identity. Warning really to all of us going forward.’
