Horrifying moment two hooded thugs push man, 61, to the ground and kick him in the head before stealing $817

Security camera footage has captured the shocking moment a 61-year-old man was pushed to the ground in New York by two hooded thugs before being kicked in the head and having $817 stolen.
In the video, recorded in the Bronx on March 1 at about 1.55pm, the two attackers are seen approaching the elderly man as he stands in the street next to a number of grocery bags.
The hooded thugs then surround the victim before the one wearing a red jacket shoves him to the ground.
While on the floor, the man is then kicked in the head by the attacker in a blue jacket before the male in the red jacket slaps him in the face.

After the male in the red jacket shoved the victim to the ground, the male in the blue jacket then kicks him in the head
A few moments later, the red jacketed-male then slaps the victim in the face as an item is thrown onto the sidewalk by the 61-year-old
The clip then shows the blue jacketed-thug rifling through the 61-year-old’s pockets before running off with $817 in cash.
Throughout the footage, a number of people are seen to walk past the incident without intervening.
The NYPD, who released the video footage, are now appealing for witnesses to come forward to help locate the two thugs in the clip.
In a statement, the NYPD said: ‘Two unidentified males approached the victim, a 61-year-old male, and demanded cash. Unidentified Male #1 pushed the victim and knocked him to the ground. Unidentified Male #2 kicked the victim in his face.
The two hooded thugs then proceed to search through the victim’s pockets. The NYPD said the man had demanded cash from the 61-year-old

NYPD released the video footage and pictures of the unidentified males and are appealing to witnesses to come forward with information
‘Both unidentified males searched the victim’s pockets, punched the victim about his head and relieved him of $817. The unidentified males fled on foot.’
The NYPD also said that the victim had been transported in a stable condition to Montefiore Hospital, where he was being treated for pain and lacerations to his lip and head.
