A French father has had his life completely uprooted, after he found his family’s three children stabbed to death in their home.
The father, who has not yet been named, found his children, two boys aged two, 11, and a 13-year-old girl, dead in their home in Taninges, an ski town near France’s border with Switzerland, with several stab wounds on Tuesday at around midday.
The family’s mother, a 45-year-old woman who local media reported suffered from depression, is currently missing and is considered a key suspect in the children’s tragic deaths, which is now being investigated as an ‘intentional homicide.’
According to French newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré, she left a letter and then headed towards the mountains surrounding the town. It is not currently known what the letter said.
Le Parisien reported that 60 French cops are currently searching for hear, supported by helicopters and diving squads.

Cops are currently interviewing the family’s relatives. The investigation has been handed over to the Bonneville public prosecutor’s office.
