A woman has died in a Melbourne laneway, with her body found early on Tuesday.
It is understood the woman was last seen alive on the balcony of an apartment above Rose Lane, between Little Bourke and Lonsdale streets.
Her body was recovered around 3am, Victoria police say.
They have set up a crime scene in Rose Lane. Detectives are on the scene as police try to piece together what happened.
