Emergency services have rushed to the aid of a bus driver who was stabbed by a young man outside of a busy shopping centre.
The incident occurred shortly before 1pm in Robina Town Centre, southwest of Surfers Paradise in Queensland.
Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after treated the 60-year-old driver for a non-life threatening stab wound to the hip.
He has since been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Initial reports from witnesses suggest the young man fled the scene shortly after.
Queensland Police confirmed a crime scene has been established and investigations into the attack have commenced.
