Hotting up the already warm summer nights! Jordan Barrett seen strolling New York City looking chic

Fashion ‘bad boy’ Jordan Barrett was spotted in New York City looking casually chic if not a little dishevelled on Thursday night.

The Gold Coast-born model, 22, was seen dressed in a loose-fitting black T-shirt and matching baggy pants while chatting on his mobile phone.

With his shaggy blond locks and tanned arms, he could have been any young New Yorker out for a stroll on a balmy summer evening, save for his bedroom eyes and model looks.

But despite enjoying a lifestyle of A-list parties, beautiful companions and exotic destinations, Jordan has insisted that he is just a ‘normal kid’ at the end of the day.

He told The Daily Telegraph in April: ‘I am just working hard and making the most of the opportunities that come my way – but I am still the same kid.’

Speaking of his career, Jordan added: ‘It all started happening very fast, and it has been pretty unreal. I never planned on being a model, it just all started happening.’

Earlier this year, the model shared details about his extravagant lifestyle with Yahoo Be, admitting: ‘I definitely do work hard, and I definitely do play hard.’

However, he insisted that his jet-setting lifestyle is often misunderstood.

‘I think everyone sees these nice trips, but that will be me shooting on location,’ he said.

In April this year, Jordan waved goodbye to the world’s biggest modelling agency, IMG, to sign with Sydney’s KULT.

His career began when he was discovered by a modelling scout at age 13.

At the time, young Jordan was skipping class and trying to steal matches from a local supermarket.

Earlier this year, Jordan was slammed by the talent scout who discovered him at the age of 13, saying he needs to make the ‘correct decisions’.

In reference to Jordan’s bad boy antics, such as swearing on TV and flipping off the media, Kirk Blake told The Daily Telegraph in March: ‘Why are we celebrating someone who gives the media the finger?’

He added: ‘The kid was interviewed on live TV and he swore. He needs to rein it in. He is unstoppable at the moment but I think he has to make the correct decisions.’
