According to Realestate.com.au, the pair bought the home with the intention to ‘flip’ it, and spent just three months on the project.

The pad first went up for sale in march with expressions of interest, before dropping to offers over $1.85 million and dropping again to offers over $1.75 million.

Daniella told The Gold Coast Bulletin that the house was ‘riddled with termites’ and they demolished the home and rebuilt it.

In July last year when they won the show, the pair said their win was ‘surreal.’

‘Even at two o’clock this morning, I woke Aaron up and said, “do you know we’ve just won?”’ Daniella told News.com.au.

Referencing their hefty cash prize, Aaron added: ‘To think this morning we’ve got another 200,000 reasons to be a bit happier, it’s unreal’.

The Gold Coast-based parents have two sons, toddler Jackson and baby Brooklyn, and also revealed how they planned to spend their money at the time.

Aaron and Daniella told the publication they are hoping to take a family holiday to Cairns later in the year, and are also planning a trip to the United States for 2018.
