Police cordoned off the entire block after storming a stairwell at the apartment building on Namatjira Place, Nine News reported.

The victim’s niece described Mr Grace as a ‘devoted family man’ and said his parents and sister were devastated.

‘They’re totally heartbroken, I’ve never seen my grandparents so fragile,’ she said.

Mr Grace, who went to Bondi Beach Public School and Dover Heights High, had lived in Sydney for the majority of his life.
