Housewives of New York in hysteric when boat catches fire

The Real Housewives of New York City were left in hysterics when their luxurious pleasure cruise through the seas of Colombia went up in flames and started to sink.

The ladies of the reality television show were enjoying a day of sunbathing at sea during a group trip to Cartagena when suddenly they found themselves in hot water, a source told Page Six.

The cast – which includes Dorinda Medley, Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill, Tinsley Mortimer and Luann de Lesseps – when they realized the luxurious day cruise they were put on was actually a decrepit boat.

After being sent out to sea, the engine went up in flames and the boat started to sink in already turbulent water, leaving the cast panicking, sobbing and even throwing up.

Before setting out to sea – the Bravo ladies were excited to spend the day soaking in the sun and having Colombian cocktails. Ramona Singer even posted a photograph to boast about her magnificent trip.

But as soon as they started to get things going, the source said everything went wrong, explaining that the boat ‘couldn’t even move.’

‘The anchor got stuck, so the crew had to saw the anchor off before they could sail anywhere,’ they said.

And once they were off things went from bad to worse – the source said – explaining that the engine went up in a ‘huge blaze.’

‘The crew was fighting to put it out,’ they said. ‘They didn’t have a fire extinguisher nor did they speak English.’

To make matters worse for the television stars, the source said that the sea was so rough that anything not nailed down started ‘flying about.’

And in typical Real Housewife fashion, something that was bad got worse when the women responded with hysterics.

Bethenny, Ramona and Dorinda were reportedly soaked from head to toe and ‘screaming hysterically.’

And the water was so rough that Carole and Tinsley started throwing up with seasickness.

‘They all thought they were going to die and they were hysterical,’ they said.

‘They were far out to sea and they thought they were going down like the Titanic.’

Eventually a passing boat spotted the ladies in despair and stopped in to rescue the Housewives from their watery nightmare.

According to Page Six, the women were so traumatized by the boat outing that they Bravo offered them counselling.

‘The Real Housewives of New York City cast was recently on a boat in South America and encountered some turbulence,’ a Bravo Rep told the paper.

‘Thankfully, everyone is fine and was able to continue their vacation as planned. The safety of our cast and crew is paramount, and, to that end, we are doing a full investigation.’
