Houston cops hunt couple who shared Snapchat firing guns

Frightening Snapchat videos shared by a dangerously armed couple taking a joy ride while firing automatic weapons- has now been shared with the Houston Police Department.

Cops are asking the public’s help in tracking down what could very well be a deadly duo, who were pumping rounds out of their car window while driving down Memorial Drive in Houston in the early morning hours of Tuesday.

In the videos, which appear to be shot during the same ride, the man is driving while shooting into the night air in the direction of buildings across an empty roadway, and the woman riding passenger is doing the same.

The female in the passenger side is having a blast pumping shots across an empty roadway in the direction of buildings early Tuesday morning

Police are looking for this woman and what is likely her male driving companion. She pumped off 10 rounds in a matter of seconds, once she got the hang of the large firearm

The large firearm is in full display several times in the Snaps posted publicly, complete with geo-tags and estimated time stamps

At first it seems that the woman hasn’t gotten the hang of the large firearm, and tries to shoot it but brings it back into the car briefly.

She raises her hand again, and certainly seems to have gotten the hang of it, firing 10 rounds in a matter of seconds.

The man shot off four rounds during his video. They have two different weapons.

The Houston Police Department were made aware of the series of Snaps that were posted in three short clips.

The short clips only last seconds, and it remains unclear if they did any damage or if anyone was injured from their careless shooting joyride

Snapchats usually expire but a Reddit user was able to capture the videos, so police were able to see it.

The videos posted by the Snapchat users of the man and woman firing rounds were posted under public.

The videos were found as someone was checking out what was going on in his area through Snapchats geo-tagging feature.

‘I was just browsing the Snap Map feature that lets you see all the public snaps in any location. I work in that general area and was just seeing what was going on,’ Reddit user harriscores told Chron.com.

‘They were dumb enough to post these publicly with a tagged location and general time stamp,’ harriscores added.

There are homes and businesses dotted along Memorial Drive where the couple was shooting in the direction of buildings across the late night empty roadway

HPD spokesman Kese Smith told Chron.com they received numerous calls from people about the videos, but so far they have no leads or info on where exactly the rounds were fired.

‘We need someone whose property was damaged or a victim of some sort or a witness or the person who took the video, to come forward and file a report,’ Smith said.

‘At this point in time, nobody has come forward to file a report or make a complaint,’

If you have information on the gunfire, please call HPD at 713-884-3131.
