- Jarome Luai has been linked with Wests Tigers
- Bradman Best hinted the rumours could be true
- Luai has entered the final year of his Penrith deal
Wests Tigers fans have been sent into a frenzy after Bradman Best gave a major hint as to Jarome Luai’s future plans.
Luai posted a video following an appearance at the opening of Foot Locker Liverpool on Monday. Best replied with an emoji of a tiger, as well as wide eyes.
Of course, the tiger is synonymous with the struggling NRL club.
His comment comes just a day after Tigers coach Benji Marshall visited the three-time premiership winner who has entered the final year of his contract with Penrith Panthers.
Best and Luai are both managed by ‘Black Money Enterprises’, meaning Best could have an insight into the progress of negotiations between Luai and Wests.
Jarome Luai’s future has been the subject of widespread speculation
Marshall has made no secret of his admiration for Luai and said he would be interested in luring the Samoan to the club.
‘The amount of money he (Luai) is going to command is going to be quite big,’ Marshall told News Corp.
‘He has earned that. But whenever a marquee player comes up you do have to have a look at them and whether you can afford them.
‘The positive thing for us is we have signed three really good young halves too – Jayden Sullivan, Latu Fainu and also Lachie Galvin who no one has really talked about.’
Best has also been linked with the Tigers, with reports suggesting he could become one of the league’s highest-paid centres at over $800,000 a year.
