Amanda Holden has transformed from a demure TV presenter to an all-out fashion superstar during her 13-year stint on Britain’s Got Talent, a style expert revealed.
The reality show star, 48, first appeared on the judging panel in ‘demure’ and ‘safe’ cocktail frocks more than a decade ago – but now stuns in plunging gowns and barely-there creations.
Indeed Amanda’s barely-there spiderweb gown was so risque this week that she drew Ofcom complaints – but rather than cover up she doubled down with a plunging creation for last night’s finale.
Speaking to Femail today, celebrity stylist Lucas Armitage said that her style has gone from family friendly to risque: ‘Her image used to focus on being wholesome and family friendly.
‘But as the years have progressed the necklines have lowered and the splits have widened and she now presents us with a more overtly sexualised version of her self in an array of shocking gowns.’
The presenter revealed her ample cleavage in a plunging, midnight blue gown, adorned with white floral detail and sequins – drawing yet more criticism from fans of the family-friendly programme watching at home
Amanda, 48, has been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent for 13 years but it was Wednesdays ‘spiderweb’ dress that viewers complained to the media watchdog about.
Lucas added: ‘I’m all for women dressing how they want to at any age and not being defined by what society tells them is acceptable in whatever decade they are in,but on the flip side Amanda’s disregard for the nature of the family show seems somewhat odd.’
Celebrity stylist Rochelle White explained Amanda has started to show more skin as her confidence has grown – as she shows no signs of stopping.
‘She has changed her hair style and colour and started to invest in looks that complimented her body shape and she has really found her style.
‘While she is much more comfortable in her own skin and I think that shows in what she chooses to wear today.’
Rochelle added: ‘Amanda has really evolved her fashion over the years. When you’re in the public eye it will have an effect on how you see yourself and how others see you.
