How Australian men REALLY fare in the bedroom

The ideal length of a steamy sex session has been revealed by a raunchy dating site.

A survey of nearly 4,000 men and women has shed light on how long men of different ages last in the bedroom – and the answer is sure to disappoint.

Females were questioned by Saucydates.com about their expectations of sexual performance, which was then compared against the reality of male sex duration.

The women said they expected the average romp to last 25 mins and 51 seconds, however Australian men aged in their ‘sexual prime’ admitted to only lasting 16 minutes and 34 seconds.

The good news is that the majority of men agreed with women that sex should last between 23 and 25 minutes, despite being unable to meet their own expectations.

‘The bad news for the entire planet is the average man in any country and of any age cannot get close to hers or his ideal duration,’ the survey results from Saucydates.com read.

‘There will be exceptions that do, but on average it’s a disappointment for all. Both men and women are not reaching the duration they both desire.’

According to the data, men reach their peak sexual performance at age 31 and the average duration of Australian males slowly creeps down to 15 minutes and 45 seconds by age 50.

The survey questioned a pool of men and women from Australia, the UK, the United States, Canada and India about their sexual history.

American men were found to last the longest in bed, reaching a maximum duration of 17 minutes and five seconds.

Sexually active Canadian men followed close behind with an average of 17 minutes with the peak age being 29, UK men at 16 minutes and 58 seconds and Indian men failed to impress at 15 minutes and 15 seconds.

‘A good solid performance from Australian men. They are above the international average across the entire surveyed age range. Aged 45 and above they are the best performers in the world,’ the website stated.

‘For most regions men in their thirties perform the best, 18 year olds are the worst and older men are somewhere in between. Unfortunately, both males and female are disappointed with intercourse duration.’
