Royal watchers were touched yesterday after a clip of Meghan Markle comforting a nervous looking Prince Harry went viral.
Meghan, 40, grasped her husband’s hand outside the American Embassy in The Hague as the couple took their seats for the start of the Invictus Games – their first event in Europe since they stepped down as senior royals in 2020.
But the loving gesture is just the latest in a long line of public displays of affection between Harry, 37, and Meghan – who haven’t been able to keep their hands off one another since first going public with their relationship in 2017.
The Duchess of Sussex has bene pictured dozens of times putting her hands on Harry’s back, while Harry is fan of clasping Meghan’s hair and gently caressing her ponytail.

Meghan has been pictured dozens of times putting her hand on Harry’s back during public occasions.
The Duchess often reaches out to put a supportive hand on Harry, including in January 2019 in Birkenhead, as well as at a Garden Party in 2018 and while in South Africa in 2019.
The move is both to support Harry and for her own comfort. During her first Trooping of the Colour in 2018, Meghan put her hand on Harry from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
