- The creative cook shared her recipe to Reddit so others could make it at home
One of Australia’s most popular chocolate bars is the Cherry Ripe – the tasty sweet featuring a cherry and coconut centre surrounded by lashings of dark chocolate.
But unfortunately for Australian expats living in Britain, the bars are extraordinarily hard to find.
However, one woman claims she’s devised a recipe that is as good as the real thing with spot on flavours.
The creative cook shared her recipe to Reddit for those who were also needing a fix and has received incredible feedback.

The recipe is easier than people may think to follow as it only requires four steps.
The creator only needed to use chocolate biscuits, butter, coconut, condensed milk, glacé cherries and dark chocolate to make her dream a reality.
To start she mixed together the biscuits and butter to make the base before freezing it to set.
The coconut, condensed milk, cherries and food colouring were then mixed together to create the filling, with the coconut being added until the consistency was just right.
Although it isn’t an exact replica of the chocolate bar, the slice promises to deliver all of the same flavours (Cherry Ripe pictured)

To create the chocolate top, chocolate was melted with a dash of olive oil for a smooth consistency and then chilled for 15 minutes to keep its shape.
The recipe received a barrage of comments from foodies around the world.
‘Cherry Ripe … are Australia’s greatest food/sweet. I missed those when I moved back from Australia,’ one person wrote.
‘Oh damn, thank you…looks delish mate!’ another wrote.
