A baker has shared a foolproof ‘100 cookie recipe’ that can be made with just four ingredients in 20 minutes.

The recipe, which went viral on TikTok after it was posted to the Australian food blog Bake Play Smile, makes 100 cookies from butter, caster sugar, self-raising flour and a tin of condensed milk.

Best of all, the dough can be be frozen and flavoured with any toppings you like, from sprinkles or hazelnuts to marshmallows or chocolate chips.

To make the cookies, the recipe instructs you to preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius, then grease a baking tray before lining it with baking paper.

Next, you must cream the butter and sugar together for four to five minutes until the mixture has turned pale and fluffy, then add a tin of sweetened condensed milk and stir until combined.

Once this is done, the recipe says you must add the self-raising flour, one cup at a time, beating gently between each addition until it forms into a dough.

The dough can then be loaded into separate bowls and flavoured with your choice of toppings.

If you’re ready to bake, the recipe instructs you to roll the dough into generous teaspoon-sized balls and place them on your baking tray, roughly 5cm apart.

A second said she had just watched her 11-year-old twins make the cookies ‘pretty much unassisted’, adding: ‘It’s a win win for me!’
