Michelle from Brisbane, who is behind the popular Instagram account ‘Look what I found’, shared her festive hack for making elegant decorative Christmas trees

‘For this little project I used some Cone Plant Trainers – hubby has heaps in the garden so I pinched a couple,’ Michelle wrote.

She wrapped five of Kmart’s $8 battery-operated tinsel lights around the cone using wires to secure it in place.

‘I made sure that the battery compartment was easy to access by having them close to the bottom of the cone,’ she advised.

For the tree bases, Michelle found two unused plant pots she had around her home and painted them white using a turn table her handy husband has made.

She said the trees are perfect for adding some festive decor to her home’s entryway.

‘I thought about adding a star or more lights – but quite like the simplistic look of them,’ she wrote.
