A mum has shared how to make delicious DIY Dunkaroos that are perfect to pack in lunchboxes or simply whip up as an after school snack. 

Amanda used three affordable ingredients to create the homemade nostalgic 90s snack that consists of biscuits and sweet dip. 

To recreate the classic snack the mum-of-three filled one half of a container with a generous amount of Teddy biscuits.

She then scooped Betty Crocker vanilla frosting into the small compartment attached and sprinkled some hundreds and thousands on top. 

The Fuel Snack Container the mum used is only $7.95 and resembles a Dunkaroo pack with enough room to store the dip and biscuits.

How to make homemade Dunkaroos:

Ingredients:

  • Teddy biscuits
  • Betty Crocker vanilla frosting 
  • Hundreds and thousands  

Method:

  1. Fill one half of a container with a generous amount of Teddy biscuits.
  2. Scoop Betty Crocker vanilla frosting into the small compartment attached to the container. 
  3. Sprinkle hundreds and thousands on top of the frosting compartment.

‘Cool idea! I love when I see people make their own cheaper and more environmentally friendly versions of snacks,’ a parent wrote. 

‘I just bought three Dunkaroos for $2 each for my boys, it’s not even worth it. I’m going to use this idea now,’ another wrote.

Marie mixes fruit and yoghurt into a small amount of icing then places it into a container with biscuits for her children. 

‘I totally do this too, I mix yoghurt and fruit with a bit of frosting and my kiddos don’t even notice,’ she wrote.
