A foodie has shared her recipe for a delicious breakfast pie that comes packed with bacon, cheese, eggs and potato gems.
New Zealand mum and founder of ‘Pepper and Me’, Cherie Metcalfe, cooked her breakfast pie 45 minutes and says it’s ‘perfect for the whole family’.
Cherie first cracked eight eggs into a large bowl along with diced bacon, diced cooked onion, chopped sausages, chopped spinach and chopped tomatoes.

She then added one cup of cheese into the bowl and mixed the ingredients together with a spoon until well combined.
The mum then lined a large pot with sheets of puff pastry and poured her pie filling in then folded the pastry edges into the centre.
To cover the exposed pie top Cherie placed potato gems around the centre to fill all gaps and to add a crunchy element on top.
She added salt and pepper to the potato gems and placed the pie into the oven on 200 degrees to bake for 45 minutes, once golden it’s ready to slice and serve.
‘It comes out all crispy and golden and absolutely delicious,’ Cherie said.
