A savvy mum has shared her simple trick for restoring old canvas sneakers and making them look brand new again.
The Australian woman, Alana, said she used a solution of hot water and Aldi’s $1.25 Di-San Oxy Action stain remover with eucalyptus oil.
Alana also used a detailing brush from Supercheap Auto to make her Converse sneakers gleaming white in just 30 minutes.

‘I sprayed the sneakers with ALDI Di-San and left them for about half an hour before scrubbing them with a detailing brush,’ Alana wrote.
‘Then, I sprayed them again and soaked them in hot water with Di-San powder for a few hours, scrubbed them a few times again with the brush while in water and put them in the washing machine on a warm wash with more Di-San.’
Once complete, she left them in the sun to dry.

‘I’ve only ever used toothpaste on my white converse, they come up like new,’ another said.

‘Get all of your white shoes and put them in the washing machine with two light-coloured old towels,’ Kayla explained.
‘[Add] one scoop of washing powder and wash on a cold wash!’.
She concluded by saying that you should use ‘no fabric softener’ and ‘no Napisan’.
Kayla explained that this is the most simple way of keeping her shoes gleaming.
