An Australian mum was sick of trying to buy shoes from Kmart without her children in tow, so decided to take shoe inserts from her children’s shoes with her to the store.

‘Off to Kmart today. Need winter clothes for my kids. However, they are a pain to buy shoes for. So I’m taking their feet with me,’ her post in the group said.
The accompanying photo is of two different feet sizes, one for each of her children, which she takes with her to know what shoes will fit them.
The hack has been a hit, with hundreds of comments and over 5,000 likes from other members.
Many people complimented her on the idea as it was something they had never thought of before.

The majority of comments were from people saying that their mum would do this for them when they were growing up, some even said that they do this for their children now.
‘My mum used to do this when I was a kid. Or she would take some string that measured the same length as my feet,’ one person explained.
‘I do this too, my son has ASD and wouldn’t ever try on shoes. My mum used to do this when I was a kid too, its a great idea,’ said another.
