Watching your hair fall is one of the worst feelings ever. During this time, you may have tried using the best of the hair care products and realized that they aren’t working out for you.
So, now what can you do? Well, castor oil to the rescue!
Castor oil is known for its amazing properties and ingredients that facilitate hair growth and reduce hair fall. For instance, it contains Vitamin-E and fatty acids like Omega-3 and Omega-6 that help in hair growth.
Now that you know the benefits, let’s move on and see how to use castor oils for hair growth
Step 1: Get All the Products Right
First of all, you need to have all the products required for your hair care routine. The most important one being good-quality castor oil.
For better results, you can also consider getting other useful oil, such as almond oil or avocado oil.
Then, prepare other things too, such as a towel, shower cap, and hot water for proper cleansing.
Step 2: Prepare the Castor Oil
In this step, you need to prepare the castor oil. For this, try adding around 2 to 3 tablespoons of other oil (like almond oil) to the castor oil.
You can also consider adding 1-2 drops of essential oil if you don’t like the smell of castor oil. Then, mix all of these ingredients together, in a bowl, to combine them properly!
Step 3: Warm The Castor Oil Mixture
It is always a good idea to warm up any hair oil before using it. With the help of this, the effectiveness and the ease of application of the oil becomes way better.
Make sure you don’t warm the mixture in the microwave but rather put it inside a hot water tub to make it warm.
Step 4: Start Applying Castor Oil to Hair Roots
Once you have the proper castor oil mixture ready, you can start with the application.
First of all, make use of a spray bottle filled with water, and dampen your hair thoroughly. If you don’t have one, you can also use your fingertips and wet your hair properly!
Then, pour some oil in your hands or take some in your fingertips and start massaging your hair. This step is important as you need to cover all your hair strands with oil to see the maximum effect. So, consider massaging your hair for about 5 to 7 minutes at least.
For massaging, start with your scalp, and then spread it slowly to the roots of your hair. Make sure you take a limited amount of oil and not too much.
Step 5: Start Apply Castor Oil to the Length of Hair
Once you’re done with the roots, you can proceed to the length of your hair. The best way to do this is to take some oil in your hands and rub it between your palms.
Then slide your palms on the length of your hair and comb your hair gently using simply the fingers. Keep repeating till your hair strands absorb the oil.
Step 6: Wear a Shower Cap
Now, once you’re done, consider wearing a shower cap. This will avoid your hair from drying out and losing moisture.
You can also dampen a towel and wear it in a ‘turban’ style instead to retain the moisture.
Step 7: Wash it Away
Lastly, keep the oil in your hair for about an hour minimum and wash it away. For better results, consider waiting for three hours and then wash it gently with your shampoo.
To get the best results, you may want to do it once or twice a week.
So, follow the above instructions properly and see how your hair grows with the best texture and lustre!
