Hugh Grant returns to the red carpet after THAT nightmare interview at Dungeons & Dragons premiere

Hugh Grant looked dapper as he attended the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves premiere in Berlin, Germany, on Monday.

The actor, 62, cut a suave figure in a navy blue corduroy suit and light blue shirt with the top few buttons undone.

He paired his look with brown suede shoes as he walked the red carpet.

Hugh appeared in good spirits as he smiled for photographs and graciously stopped to sign autographs outside the screening.

His demeanour at the premiere marked a stark contrast to that at the Academy Awards, where he became one of the biggest stories after his awkward red carpet interview with Ashley Graham went viral.

The awkward interview saw Hugh shut down Ashley and roll his eyes at her in a red carpet chat branded the ‘worst interview ever.’

Hugh was not amused as he stepped out to the Oscars, and openly showed his disdain towards the 34-year-old supermodel’s questions – keeping his answer short and making his disinterest well known in a now viral clip.

But joined by his co-stars, Hugh posed alongside Chris Pine, 42, who looked handsome in a camel coloured double breasted jacket and a pair of coordinating trousers.

Underneath he wore a black turtleneck jumper with a gold necklace, and added a pop of colour with a red and blue patterned pocket square.

The actor opted for black suit shoes to finish his look and styled his locks spikey.

Regé-Jean Page, 34, also put on a dapper display in a black suit jacket and matching trousers.

The Bridgerton star layered a black t-shirt underneath and accessorised with a gold necklace and variety of silver rings.

Looking as suave as ever, he tucked one hand into his pocket and flashed a silver watch at the cameras.

The feature experienced a lengthy development process, during which figures such as Joe Manganiello and Dwayne Johnson were attached to the project.

Goldstein and Daley were reported to have been in talks to headline the feature in 2019, and it was revealed that they had written a new script for the movie the following year.

Chris signed on to appear in the film in 2020, and the rest of its cast was added over the next two years.

Other figures set to be featured in the movie include Jason Wong and Regé Jean Page.

It tells the story of a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers, who embark on an epic quest to retrieve a long lost relic, but their charming adventure goes dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

Physical production on the movie began in April of 2021 with filming taking place in both Iceland and Ireland.

After several months of work, the project’s crew wrapped in August of that year.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was initially supposed to be released in 2021, although its premiere date was pushed back several times.

The fantasy-adventure feature is now scheduled to be released to the public on March 31.

A television program centered on the role-playing game is currently in development.

The fantasy roleplaying game was first invented by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, debuting in 1974, which essentially paved the way for modern roleplaying games.

The game is played with a number of people playing different characters, lead by a Dungeon Master as they go on adventures together and earn ‘experience points (XP) to advance to new levels of the game.

The game has been a monumental success, controlled and published by Wizards of the Coast since 1997.

There are reports claiming that between 12 million and 15 million people played D&D in just North America alone in 2017.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Game Night) directed the D&D movie, from a new script they both wrote.

The movie has been in various stages of development since 2015, when Ansel Elgort was attached to star with Rob Letterman (Detective Pikachu) directing.

Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie) was also attached to direct before Daley and Goldstein became involved in July 2019.

The game was adapted into the much-maligned big-budget disaster Dungeons & Dragons in 2000, which made just $33 million worldwide from a $45 million budget.

The movie also spawned two straight-to-video sequels – Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God in 2005 and Dungeons & Dragons 3: The Book of Vile Darkness in 2012.
