And Hugh Grant could not help but gush about life as a newlywed on Wednesday, during his interview on NBC’s TODAY.
Speaking to host Savannah Guthrie, the actor, 57, admitted he felt so ‘lucky’ to have Anna Eberstein, 39, as a wife – and only wishes he’d got married before.

Discussing married life, the Love Actually star said: ‘It’s really nice, I can’t pretend it isn’t.’
After years of opposing the act, he continued: ‘I should have done it before. I’m just lucky. I’ve got a great wife. I love her.’
Grant has been known for his reluctance to marry over the years – having split up with his actress girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley in 2000 after 13 years together.

He told People magazine in 2015: ‘I’m not really a believer in marriage. I’ve seen very few good examples, maybe five, in my life, but I think otherwise it’s a recipe for mutual misery.’
However, Hugh and Anna tied the knot last month at the Kensington and Chelsea register office, close to the couple’s £10million home in the capital.
The actor looked sharp for the occasion in a navy suit and a pale blue shirt, which complemented his new wife’s crisp blouse and white mini skirt.
While he is delighted to be married, Hugh did reveal there was also a practical reason behind the decision to USA Today.

Speaking to the publication on Tuesday, he explained: ‘My wife agrees with me that marriage is a pretty preposterous social construct, but when you’ve got three children, it’s a nice thing to do.
‘I didn’t like going through immigration into countries where they’d say, ‘Everyone with a Grant passport, over here, and all the others through there.’ She went through with the nannies. That seemed all wrong.’
The couple have been together six years and share three children, John Mungo, who was born in September 2012, and another child born in December 2015.
Hugh’s ex Elizabeth let slip in March that the couple had welcomed a third child, but the birth date and gender are unknown.

Having remained close friends, Elizabeth recently gushed over how much Hugh has changed since becoming a father.
She quipped: ‘He’s an enchanting dad. Really, really sweet. Having these kids has transformed him from a very miserable person into a fairly miserable person. It’s improved him. He’s gone up the scale.’
As well as his three with the Swedish TV producer, Hugh also shares two children – six-year-old daughter Tabitha and five-year-old son Felix – with his ex Tinglan Hong.
Hugh was promoting his new drama A Very English Scandal on Today, which sees him play disgraced politician Jeremy Thorpe.
The MP and old Etonian stood trial in 1979 for conspiracy to murder his gay ex-love Norman Scott.
The three-part series aired on the BBC last month, and was met with rave reviews from fans – who called for Hugh to receive an award for his role.
