Back in January Hugh posted a gallery of pictures to his Instagram showing the dietary sacrifices he was making to play the iconic superhero once more.

One of the extremely modest meals that currently comprise his diet consisted of just three very tiny slices of fish, some steamed asparagus and a slice of lemon.

Another was simply one slice of fish and some beans.

He completed his look with a pair of matching black slacks, a baseball cap, dark aviator sunglasses and a pair of black runners with white trim.

And a third meal was nothing but a dollop of cottage cheese and chopped up broccoli.

‘If you know, you know,’ Hugh wrote next to the photos.

Hugh went on the health kick in order to play Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in the upcomong film which is now scheduled for release on July 24.

He revealed last year that he was consuming up to 8000 calories a day to ensure his body was in top shape to play the iconic superhero.

Last year, Hugh said he expected it would take six months of hardcore training to physically prepare for his return as Wolverine.

The Sydney native went on Who’s Taking to Chris Wallace and opened up about the amount of time and dedication that it takes to become the iconic mutant.

Deadpool 3 will be the first time Hugh has strapped on the claws to play Wolverine since 2017’s Logan.
