He’s just celebrated Christmas in his native Australia after wrapping up the promotional tour for new film, The Greatest Showman.
And on Thursday, Hugh Jackman touched noses with a koala, taking to Instagram to share an adorable snap with another national treasure.
Within minutes, the post gained thousands of likes and fans couldn’t help but remark how much they loved the snap.

‘So cute,’ one fan wrote.
Another added: ‘A wolverine and a koala: cuteness overload,’ referring to Hugh’s iconic Wolverine role.
The sweet snap was taken during an outing to the zoo in Victoria.

He and wife Deborra-lee Furness, 62, are in Australia with their children, Ava, 12, and Oscar, 17.
Hugh recently shared a sweet snap of himself with Deborra-Lee, standing in front of Christmas tree and writing: ‘ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas,’ and added the hashtag ‘My Debs.’
This month, Hugh sparked retirement concerns when he said his promotional duties for The Greatest Showman will be followed by ‘a period of unemployment.’

‘I’m really proud of everything I’ve done,’ he told The Fix.
‘But I want to just take a little time to reflect, to just reassess and see where I head from here.’
Known for his unrelenting workaholism and dedication to spending time with fans, the interviewer struggled to even think of what Hugh would do with ‘spare time.’
‘What does Hugh Jackman do with his spare time? Are you binging junk food and watching TV, or what happens?’ she asked.
An excited smile swept across his face, as he thought about having to do nothing for the first time in years.
‘I’ll tell you tomorrow!’ he beamed, ‘It [unemployment] starts tomorrow.’
‘Um, I love to read and I love the outdoors and I’m probably a quieter person than you’d think,’ he reflected.
Continuing to list of the possibilities, he added: ‘I like to cook I like the theatre, what else do I love? I like sport…’
