Hunt for tradie who ‘leaned out the window of a moving ute and tried to slap a cyclist on the head’

Police are on the hunt for a rogue tradie who is accused of leaning out his car window in an attempt to slap a cyclist’s head.

The bizarre incident happened on January 8 at 6pm, during peak-hour traffic on Burpengary Road, Narangba, 34km north of Brisbane. 

It is alleged that the cyclist was travelling south on Burpengary Road when a male person, who appears to be aged in his 30s, leaned out of his car window and extended his arm towards the bike rider.

Queensland police are on the hunt for a rogue tradie who deliberately leaned out his car window to attempt to slap a cyclist’s head

Queensland Police claim the cyclist would have ‘suffered serious injury,’ if the man had been successful with his attempted slap. 

Unknown to the alleged perpetrator, he was captured on the bike riders helmet-cam and is now being searched by QLD Police.

Police would like to speak to the man, as they believe he may be able to assist them in their investigation.
