Hunter Biden has been ordered to show up at court in Arkansas where he’ll have to show why he shouldn’t be held in contempt for not turning over his financial records, according to newly filed court papers obtained by DailyMail.com.

Judge Holly Meyer ordered the businessman on Tuesday to show his face in the Independence County court room next Wednesday at 9.30am, or face being held in contempt of court.

Biden, 49, has been fighting against traveling to Arkansas from LA for the past few weeks, claiming he has had too short of notice to make the trip. He is being sued by his baby mama Lunden Roberts for child support for their 17-month-old child.

Roberts, 28, who met Biden while working as a stripper in Washington D.C., has repeatedly demanded that her former lover turn over the past five years of his financial records to establish how much he should cough up for their child.

But Biden has allegedly only turned over some of the information and Judge Meyer wants him to appear in court and explain himself.

Biden was spotted heading to lunch in West Hollywood with his pregnant South African wife Melissa Cohen, 32, last week.

Hunter sported his favorite outfit, a trendy blue suede jacket with matching blue trousers, while Melissa showed off her growing baby bump in a grey hoodie.

In newly filed papers, Roberts’ legal team referenced a previous court order that said both parties must submit all documents pertaining to discovery no later than January 16.

Her lawyers claimed Biden ‘failed to provide any additional discovery information of any nature.’

They claim he hasn’t disclosed, financial institutions used by him or a business he owns or controls; his addresses from the past five years; lists of companies he owns or has an ownership interest; all sources of income for the past five years; an unredacted copy of his tax returns; and a copy of his 2017 and 2018 tax returns.

They claimed Biden’s ‘conduct is willful and contemptuous’ and argue he should be held in contempt of court.

Roberts’ lawyers added: ‘Biden continues to act as though he has no respect for this Court, its orders, the legal process in this state, or the needs of his child for support.

‘This Court should take some action that will make the defendant follow court orders and a believer in the rule of law.’

Biden’s appearance in court is the showdown Roberts and her legal team have been wanting.

A previous hearing where Biden was expected to show up to, was postponed and lawyers conferred over the telephone.

Earlier this month, Roberts hit back against Biden, who accused her of including his LA address in court filings just to add fuel to the ‘Where’s Hunter’ campaign.

Roberts insisted her legal team didn’t facilitate or participate in the bid to publicly track down the 49-year-old, who was found to be living in California, as she fights him for child support for their 17-month-old child.

Biden had accused Roberts of ‘intentionally’ including his address in filings so the ‘media and his political adversaries’ would know where he lives, which brought ‘an onslaught of harassment’ to him and his pregnant wife Melissa Cohen.

But Roberts said if Biden didn’t want his home address known, he should have made use of his ‘ample’ time and set up a post office box so he could be served mail there.

President Trump has called for Biden to come forward to testify during his impeachment trial and his campaign started selling T-shirts with the slogan ‘Where’s Hunter?’, as he brought up the matter again at his rally on Thursday night.
