A husband today denied killing his wife after she was found dead less than ten miles away from their home.

Company boss Christopher Kerrell, 35, was arrested by police after his wife Hollie, 28, disappeared in April.

A huge police search was launched for mother-of-three Mrs Kerrell and she was discovered dead four days later.

Her body was found at a countryside spot nine miles away from her family home in Knighton, Powys.

Kerrell appeared in Cardiff Crown Court over the death but denied murder and manslaughter. He must return to court in August and was remanded in custody.

When Hollie went missing she was described as being 5ft 5in, and of medium build with dark brown hair and blue eyes.

After her death, her family said: ‘Our beautiful Hollie loved life and lit up every room she was in. There was never a dull moment with our quirky, funny Hollie around.

‘She was the glue that held our family together and she will be missed terribly.’

Knighton is a market town in Powys, on the River Teme and the English-Welsh border, between Shrewsbury and Hereford.
