A husband questioned over his young wife’s death in Western Australia allegedly drove himself to the police station ‘covered in blood’.

Homicide detectives are investigating the suspected murder of a woman in her early 20s at a home on Barker avenue in Balcatta, in Perth’s north at the weekend.

Police have taped off the home and are conducting forensic testing after the husband led them to the body on Saturday afternoon.

The woman was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery but was unable to be revived, according to Nine News.

Police are now questioning the husband over the incident, but no charges have been laid.

As part of inquiries the car he drove to the station has been seized by police.   

The couple were of Middle Eastern descent and it’s understood they were in an arranged marriage, the West Australian reported.
