The husband of a missing Colorado mother who disappeared during a Mother’s Day bike ride in Colorado is pleading for the public to share any leads on her whereabouts.

Suzanne Morphew, 49, was last seen on Mother’s Day May 10 after going cycling around County Road 225 and West Highway 50 near Maysville, Colorado.

Her husband Barry Morphew, with whom she shares two adult daughters, is speaking out for the first time, pleading for her return in a video message shared on Facebook on Sunday. 

‘Oh Suzanne, if anyone is out there and can hear this, that has you, please, we’ll do whatever it takes to bring you back. We love you, we miss you, your girls need you,’ he said in the video Sunday, marking a week since her disappearance.

‘No questions asked, however much they want – I will do whatever it takes to get you back. Honey, I love you, I want you back so bad,’ he said in the emotional video.

He was reportedly out of town some 150-miles away in Denver when she went missing.

He has pledged a $100,000 reward for any information on her return. That sum was matched by a family friend, bringing the reward total to $200,000.

The Chaffee County Sheriff has not mentioned the reward nor whether the department is coordinating with Morphew’s husband.

The Morphew family moved to Colorado from Alexandria, Indiana in 2018, according to Heavy. 

Morphew’s bike was reportedly recovered the day she disappeared, but there were no other clues to her whereabouts despite police deployment of drones and sniffer dogs.

Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday they found something that could be her personal item on Thursday, but have not disclosed what it is. 

It was found near the junction of County Road 225 and Highway 50 – around 500 meters from Morphew’s home. A trail is located close by.

‘While investigators aren’t releasing details about what may have been found, they can confirm that Ms Morphew has not yet been located to date,’ the sheriff’s office said.

Nearly 90 investigators have been searching for Morphew for a week now using drones, scent dogs and flyover mission in steep and rugged terrain.

Members of the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI).The FBI has been called in to assist in the search operation as well as personnel from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. 

Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze told KRDO on Thursday evening:  ‘I can’t say whether the circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious and I can’t share what we’ve found.’ 

Investigators have also said they do not believe Morphew was attacked or trapped by animals.

‘She’s a beloved member of her family and the sweetest person that you’ve ever met,’ her nephew Trevor Noel said to CBS4.

‘We want to leave our options open and we want to make sure that we cover every hill… and know that everyone out here is doing everything they possibly can to find her..’

A Facebook page Finding Suzanne Morphew has been launched for help in her case. She taught Hamilton Heights, a middle school in Indiana from 1995 to 1999.

A GoFundMe page has also been launched to aid int the search for her.
