‘If you’re never going to get there it’s only polite!’ Vanessa Feltz admits to faking orgasms

Vanessa Feltz has admitted that she often faked orgasms – in a podcast recorded before she split from her cheating fiancé Ben Ofoedu.

The broadcaster, 61, said sometimes you have to fake it to ‘be polite’ if you are getting intimate but ‘never going to get there.

Speaking on the Grazia Life Advice podcast while she was still with Ben she went on to explain that it’s ‘rude’ not to fake it if your partner is ‘trying every trick in the book’.

Vanessa split from her former partner of 16 years Ben, 50, last month after he confessed to cheating on her during the relationship.

Revealing the worst advice she’d ever been given she told the podcast before her split: ‘Experts say if you fake an orgasm, how will your lover/partner ever really know what you like? So they’ll never do it.

‘I think that is the worst advice because sometimes it is just rude not to fake it.

‘Sometimes your partner is trying every trick in the book. They have been twiddling and licking and flicking. They’re absolutely 10/10 for effort.’

She added: ‘I’m not saying do it every time but on those occasions – when you’re not concentrating and thinking about defrosting the freezer and are never going to get there – you’ve got to fake it, it’s only polite.

‘Everyone saves face and no-one’s embarrassed or ashamed.’

It comes after last week Vanessa admitted life ‘isn’t easy’ after the split.

The star shared a video to Instagram on Monday where she revealed she ‘can’t sleep in the middle of the night’ but hopes it will get better.

While enjoying dinner at the Brasserie Of Light restaurant within London’s Selfridges, she was asked by a friend, ‘Vanessa, you’re looking great but how do you really feel?’

After pulling an emotional expression, she replied: ‘Well, no one said it was going to be easy and I must say it isn’t easy actually, especially in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep and all of that.

‘But I’m keeping on, keeping on and I’ve got lots and lots of friends and family around me and I’m really loving that.

‘Everyday I suppose I hope it’s going to get a little bit easier but thank you for asking.’

Vanessa announced she had split from her partner of 17 years two weeks ago amid claims he’d been unfaithful while on a tour of UK holiday parks with his electronic dance music act, which he later confirmed.

It comes after the woman who Ben reportedly strayed with told MailOnline for the first time how she sent a bombshell email to Vanessa, followed by an ‘awkward’ phone call, in which she blew the whistle on Ben’s ‘serial womanising’.

Ben’s fling told Vanessa she had been ‘hopelessly in love’ with him after a series of steamy encounters in Ibiza and Thailand.

But she insisted that the BBC Radio 2 host deserved to know her partner had tried to seduce at least three other younger women.

The successful businesswoman – who bears a close resemblance to Vanessa – said she initially had no idea that Ben had a long-term partner when her romance with him began, and she broke off the relationship as soon as she found out.

But beach club owner and restaurateur Ella, 59, who does not wish to use her real name, described him as ‘an octopus who has no respect for women’ and said she wanted to set the record straight after he ‘peddled lies’ about their year-long fling.

After the email, Ella and Vanessa had a ‘difficult’ phone conversation during which Vanessa told her that what she and Ofoedu had done was ‘very wrong’.

In the email, Ella wrote to Vanessa: ‘I was aware of his relationship with you, and I felt very guilty but he pursued me so much I couldn’t resist his charm.

‘I was terrified sending that email,’ said Ella, ‘and even more so when Vanessa called me back.

‘I completely understood her anger at me and I certainly didn’t respond angrily to her, but it was a very awkward conversation.’

Despite the revelations about Ben’s behaviour in the email and phone call, Vanessa apparently decided to forgive him.

Earlier this month however, Vanessa announced she had finally dumped him after a series of other illicit relationships emerged.

Mother-of-one Ella remained silent for six years, but only decided to speak out after she said Ben insulted her in his toe-curling mea culpa interview last week, in which he described their relationship as ‘purely sexual with no feelings involved’ and – most disparagingly – that sex with her was ‘almost a chore’.
