Iggy Azalea and beau Playboi Carti’s Atlanta mansion burglarized for $360,000 worth of jewelry

A burglar targeted Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti’s rental mansion in Atlanta and made off with an estimated $366,000 worth of jewelry.

This all went down on Sunday, November 14, when the pop star was home alone.

In all, 19 pieces of jewelry were stolen including diamond rings, platinum bracelets and several luxury watches, according to AJC.

Azalea (born Amethyst Kelly) believes the burglar got in through a door she left unlocked for Carti around 9:50 p.m. local time.

She told police she was in the basement floor at the time and heard footsteps from the floor above.

At the time, she just thought that Carti (born Jordan Carter) had returned to the residence.

At some point in the evening, the two noticed that the designer bag they had been using carry their jewelry was missing from the living room on that second floor.

Security cameras captured the suspect entering the house, and then leaving the house with a bag in his hand, 

There wasn’t any kind of surveillance cameras inside the residence.

The couple told responding police officers that they think the intruder had a gun.

Azalea, 29, first made her mark in the music industry with her 2014 debut album, The New Classic, which peaked among the top five of several charts worldwide.

Since then the Aussie native has racked up two American Music Awards, three Billboard Music awards and four Grammy Award nominations, among other accolades.

Carti, 23, who’s known for his mumble rap style, released his debut mixtape in 2017. He followed that up with his debut studio album in May 2018.

The couple have reportedly been dating for about a year.
