I’m a Celebrity fans left shocked as frontrunner for the win is eliminated

I’m a Celebrity fans left shocked as controversial frontrunner is eliminated – but other viewers are overjoyed about the decision: ‘Good riddance!’

Domenica Calarco was voted out of the jungle on Monday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.

The Married At First Sight star was a divisive contestant but many saw her as a frontrunner to win.

Dom was up against Geordie Shore star Nathan Henry and AFL legend Adam Cooney but the men survived to see another day.

Viewers shared their thoughts on the eviction with many stunned, but others happy with the result.

‘Loved Dom on MAFS but yeah needed to go,’ wrote one fan on Twitter, alongside a clapping hands emoji.

‘Thank God! Good riddance Dom!’ added another while one more said, ‘YESSSSSS finally! Sorry Dom, don’t mind you but prefer the others’.

‘I did not see that coming! Can’t say I didn’t hope for it (nothing personal), but didn’t think Dom would go at this point,’ quipped another, while someone else said, ‘Yay!!!’

However some viewers were sad to see Dom departing the series.

‘I’m devastated that Domenica is leaving the jungle – she’s a wonderful lady,’ wrote one viewer.

‘Wow! I thought Dom would have gone further!’ added another while yet one more wrote, ‘The ladies are declining in numbers and I am not happy at all’.

‘I am genuinely shocked Dom has been eliminated. I honestly thought they were setting her up for the final,’ said another person watching at home.

Dom looked disappointed but the decision but said her intuition told her it would be her that left.

‘I had a feeling today. I actually had a feeling’ she insisted as she hugged her campmates goodbye.

‘I just want to say, I had the best time ever, guys. Smash it! Enjoy the last six days and I’ll see you all at the end of this’ she added.

‘I think yesterday conquering a huge fear of mine I felt, okay my time here is done, I’ll be happy to leave whenever I do. Of course I would have loved to have won and have that money for my charity’ she added.

Dom went on: ‘I am a completely different woman. I am leaving the jungle just a better person. Maybe a few kilos lighter.

‘I have learnt so many lessons. I have met incredible people that I will call my friends for life.

‘I just think, I know in myself now I am so much stronger than what I thought I was. That is a huge lesson. For that I will be eternally grateful.’
