Also competing for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle will be Andrew Maxwell, 44; Myles Stephenson, 28; Adele Roberts, 40; Kate Garraway, 52, and James Haskell, 34.

Of course, as the enduring ITV favourite – now entering its 19th series – is known for putting its contestants through a laundry list of gruelling Bushtucker Trials, the new stars have also shared their fears and phobias.

Unsurprisingly, spiders, snakes and creepy-crawlies sit atop that list, while others have admitted that the toughest struggle they anticipate enduring is being separated from their loved ones for potentially a full month.

Before the inevitable tantrums, tears and unspeakable culinary offerings (who could forget the crocodile testicles, live witchety grubs or fish eyes?), the new recruits have also opened up about what they anticipate on the show.
