I’m A Celeb’s Ajay Rochester reveals the disgusting way she tried to lose weight 

During the 2000s, Ajay Rochester was the host of Australia’s most famous weight-loss shows, The Biggest Loser.

And now that she’s back in the spotlight as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! the 49-year-old has a weight-loss confession of her own.

In an interview with this week’s Woman’s Day, Ajay revealed the stomach-turning method she once employed in a bid to shed the kilos.

Speaking to the magazine, Ajay admitted she once tried to purposely get sick with a tapeworm, so that she could ‘benefit’ from one of its symptoms – weight loss.

‘I’ve never publicly admitted this to anyone, but when I walked the Great Wall of China with Olivia Newton-John in 2008, I drank the water in the hope of getting a tapeworm,’ Ajay said.

‘I actually brought home a bottle of tap water, so I could keep losing weight. It didn’t work. All I wanted was a tapeworm. Ripped off.’

It’s not the only eyebrow-raising confession Ajay has made this week.

In the premiere episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Ajay admitted to her campmate, former Love Island star Justin Lacko, that she’s in the midst of a lengthy sexual drought.

Model Justin joked that the group was, ‘like a swingers club’.

Ajay replied: ‘That would mean actually having sex and I haven’t had sex in nine years’.

Certainly not one to go under the radar, Ajay also rustled feathers this week by taking aim at Gogglebox campmate Yvie Jones.

Ajay took umbrage with the fact that Yvie was exempt from some food restrictions on the show due to medical grounds.

‘I’m going to throw some shade at the Gogglebox girl,’ she told Ten Daily, referring to Yvie.

Ajay added: ‘If she really has got a medical note so she can have snacks in the tent during the day then she needs to f***ing take half a cup of cement and harden the f*** up.’
