Ada Nicodemou revealed she can’t watch herself on Heartbreak High.

The 44-year-old admitted she is too scared to watch the 1990s series, in fear of embarrassment over her 16-year-old self’s acting skills. 

‘I just can’t watch it because I’m too scared to see what my acting was like, and my dancing as well’, she told Hughesy, Ed and Erin on the Hit Network.

Ada went on to say how great the show was and how different it was for it’s time. She said: ‘It was so groundbreaking at the time.

‘It had people who looked like me on it, and we’d never had that on Australian TV. 

‘It still holds up I think but I am scared to watch it.’

Heartbreak High has been added to Netflix, creating a brand new generation of fans. 

The success of the 1990s program has triggered a reboot which is set to air in 2022. 

According to the official press release from 2021, it will be inspired by the original however will be reimagined for the new generation. 

The reboot will be inclusive with a range of LGBTQ+ characters and also neurodiversity across the cast.
