A hysterical couple fled into a taxi after escaping the massacre amid scenes of sheer panic and chaos.

Cab driver Cori Langdon, who was recording the event, can be seen stopping in the middle of the road to allow the escaping couple to get inside.

Cori pulls over and the man and woman can be seen supporting each other as they get in the rear.

‘Is there somebody out there?’ asks Langdon. 

‘So many people are dead … Go go go!’ screams the female passenger once in the taxi. 

The man can be heard in agony complaining of a broken leg while his female companion tries to comfort him.

Filming the chilling scenes, the couple are heard imploring Cori to driver faster, while she surveys the scene shouting ‘everyone is dead.’ 

Trying to navigate the road littered with bodies, Cory realises the magnitude of the attack, claiming she didn’t realise it was so bad.

In the meantime, over the taxi radio, a controller is heard saying: ‘Do not go to Mandalay Bay! Stay away from there!’

As the scene unfolds, bodies are seen strewn across the ground, while dozens of injured people hobble away from the gunman. 

Concertgoers were enjoying the Route 91 country music festival when Stephen Paddock, 64, open fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort hotel.

Paddock fired from an automatic rifle indiscriminately killing dozens and injuring hundreds more.  

The gunman committed suicide in the hotel room before police could arrest him.
