The 27-year-old took to Instagram to slam the ‘barbaric’ horse race after Irish steed The Cliffsofmoher was shot dead after injuring his right shoulder during the first 600 metre stretch of the Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse.

She continued: ‘It shows how much we have no regard for life in general. Another living thing’s LIFE. Not even to eat, not even to survive, purely just to run for your viewing pleasure and win back a fifty buck bet…’
The socialite then took a savage swipe at race day fashions.
‘F**k your fascinators, they don’t even look good and y’all pick on me for my crazy looks all the time (at least I can do it without watching horses die) so sucked in o clock.’

The five-year-old Irish stallion, jockeyed by Ryan Moore, was the sole tragedy of 157th Melbourne Cup on Tuesday afternoon.
The horse was reportedly agitated before the barrier gates opened, with one commentator describing him as ‘melting like an ice cream’.
The death will fuel claims from animal rights activists that the race that stops the nation is cruel, after two horses collapsed and died during the 2014 Cup while the following year Red Cadeaux had to be put down after shattering a leg.

‘The Cliffsofmoher suffered a fractured right shoulder when injured in the Melbourne Cup, unfortunately could not be saved’: Racing.com’s editor-in-chief Shane Anderson confirmed the tragic development
The Cliffsofmoher, trained by Aidan O’Brien, fell over just 600 metres into the 3.2km track, only two years after making its racing debut in Ireland.
Veterinarians were seen rushing on to the track just moments after the stallion, owned by high-profile property developer Lloyd Williams, fell over shortly after the start of the 3pm race.
Racing.com’s editor-in-chief Shane Anderson confirmed the tragic development.
‘Horrible news. The Cliffsofmoher suffered a fractured right shoulder when injured in the Melbourne Cup, unfortunately could not be saved. Thoughts with connections,’ he tweeted.
